Schedule

The Friday talk doubles as the Departmental Colloquium, and will be held in room LD-010 (the Science Building LD is facing the orange parking lot #83 in this map). A welcome reception and Colloquium refreshments will take place in the first floor atrium of the new Science Building (EL in the map).

Weekend talks will be held in room BS-2000 of the Business School. Also, note that we expect large crowds on Saturday for the Marathon; hence the late starting time, and longer-than-usual lunch break.

An reception with food and poster session will take place at University Tower (HO in the map), starting at 6:00pm.

Registration and Support

All participants are encouraged to register at the official conference email address midwestdynamics2016@gmail.com to facilitate notifications.

Based on previous meetings, we expect to be able to offer some degree of financial support to every applicant that has no support through NSF or Simons Foundation grants. Priority will be given to students and underrepresented minorities, then to junior faculty, then senior faculty.

There is still a small amount of funds for participant expenses. To request support, send a note to midwestdynamics2016@gmail.com, including

  • name / institution
  • academic status
  • total amount requested
  • whether you have another source of support
Note that if you are traveling by air, it is mandatory to use a US carrier for NSF reimbursement purposes.

We request graduate students that ask support to share rooms (please bear in mind the marathon note above). If you can, please make your own arrangements. Otherwise, write to the official conference address so we can help pair you.
